Plans canceled for the Waverley Hotel

The famous hotel known for a “homeless hostel” has had it’s plans canceled.

The building which had plans to be redeveloped  by Gloag have been canceled and now the building is up for sale.

Councillor Peter Barrett speaking to The Courier said:

“After all the time that the Waverley has lain empty and becoming more dilapidated it is very disappointing to see it put up for sale with nothing done to improve they way it looks.

“The boarded up frontage is an ugly eyesore and the gardens have been allowed to deteriorate.”
