There is an important change to this year’s Remembrance commemorations in Perth. Poppy Scotland’s wreath-laying usually takes place on the Friday before Remembrance Sunday. However, this year the ceremony will take place on Armistice Day itself, Monday 11 November, at Mercat Cross, at 10.50am with two-minute silence at 11am.

The Garden of Remembrance will be laid out at Mercat Cross from Friday 8 November.

Also on Monday 11 November St John’s Kirk will be open to the public from 10am-4pm. Visitors can view wreaths laid during the Remembrance Service on Sunday 10 November.
