Thousands of tributes have been paid to the legendary footballer Jack Syme on social media.
Thousands of people have paid tribute to footballer Jack Syme after he was found dead by Police Scotland. Jack Syme went missing over the weekend and was last seen around Kinnoull Hill on the 8th of February at 9.30am.
News was released that a body had been discovered at the bottom of Kinnoull Hill and it’s believed to be Jack Syme, although official identification is to be carried out.
A spokeswoman from Police Scotland said:“The body of a man was discovered by police officers at the foot of Kinnoull Hill at Perth, at around 11am on Monday 9 February.
“There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
Jack’s family were informed of the discovery.
Ryan Whyte a close friend to Jack said: “it never was our style to be all sensitive haha but I will always love you jack. I’m absolutely heartbroken but will take comfort in the numerous stories we created together, everyone loved them! If only you knew how much you’d be missed. I will forever be grateful for the friendship I shared and time I spent with my best friend. No Ryan Whyte without Jack Syme. I’m going to miss you so so much brother. I love you ”
The talented 20-year-old played for Forfar in the 2013 SPFL Under 19 League Cup Final. Forfar Athletic chairman Alastair Donald tweeted: “All at FAFC are saddened to learn of the death of our development squad player Jack Syme. The thoughts of all at the club are with the family.”
