A bride who plead guilty following an assault on her wedding night has spoken out about the offence.
Kerry Jane Moir responded to a Facebook post on comedian Facebook page about why she had plead guilty
she said: “As for clearing the sh!t my Husband and I literally had an argument (no fighting and no pushing in the face) the police came and warned me I either went home or I got lifted so I opened my trap and said well lift me then.. Got taken to cells and they charged me with assault, I was kept in 60 hours because in their words ‘if you leave you will stab your husband’ I went to court and plead guilty because if I didn’t my bail conditions were going to be that I wasn’t to approach Liam and a charge was far better than not seeing my kids.”
In court Fiscal depute Jim Eodanable said: “The accused and the complainer were married on Friday. She had been drinking and was at her mother’s house to get changed.
“She was intoxicated and unhappy with the complainer. As they were heading back to their house she repeatedly pushed his face backwards before breaking free from him and running off.”
Carmichael, 56 Gellyburn Road, Almondbank, admitted assaulting Liam Moir by repeatedly pushing him in the face. She was admonished by Sheriff Mark Stewart.
