Pet owner Denise Connolly has called in on police following a dispute over pet killing.

According to a witness the kitten was killed by a dog which the owners are refusing to deal with the dogs behaviour – High concerns of Denise Connolly suggest the “dog is out of control”
Aaron Chalk from Athole Drive, Stanley, who owns the dog also lives with three children all under the age of 5.
Police Scotland can confirm that officers are making enquiry into an incident involving a Staffordshire Bull Terrier dog and a cat that happened in Athole Drive, Stanley at about 10.30pm on Friday (April 11).
The cat died following the incident. Anyone who has information that could assist police with their enquiries should contact Police Scotland on 101. Alternatively information can be passed anonymously via the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111
