The search for missing person William Elder continues, four months on since he was last seen at his home address in James Court, Pitlochry in December last year.

The search for missing person William Elder continues, four months on since he was last seen at his home address in James Court, Pitlochry in December last year.

Officers from Police Scotland have made extensive enquiries to establish the 81-year-old’s whereabouts, including gaining support from the Marine Support Unit to search areas of the River Tummel – as he is known walk in the local area.

In searching for William, police ask that the public report any sightings of clothing that may be found on or near the river banks along the River Tummel or Tay areas.

When last seen at about 10.45am on Tuesday, December 10, 2013, he was wearing a green wax jacket, black loose fitting trousers and brown boots. William has difficulty walking. He has a very distinctive limp and normally uses a walking stick. William is five feet tall, of slim build, and has brown, greying hair.

Anyone who has information that could assist officers with their enquiries should contact Police Scotland on 101.
