Police searching for missing sex offender in Perth

Police Scotland is appealing for information to help trace the whereabouts of 42 year old Mark King last seen at St Leonard Street, Perth at the bus station at 10.30am on Monday 14 July.

Police Scotland is appealing for information to help trace the whereabouts of 42 year old Mark King last seen at St Leonard Street, Perth at the bus station at 10.30am on Monday 14 July.

Due to his status, he is required by law to register at a police office, however, he has failed to do so. He is described as six foot tall, of medium build with short brown shaved hair.  When last seen he was wearing a grey sweatshirt, grey jogging bottoms and white trainers.  He was also carrying a black camping rucksack and a clear polythene bag.

Speaking today, Detective Inspector Wayne Morrison who is in charge of the enquiry said :

“Mr King doesn’t have a permanent address, he was last seen at the bus station in Perth and we would appeal to anyone who saw him to contact us immediately.

We would urge members of the public not to approach the individual but to immediately contact the police”

Mark King was placed on the sex offenders register for 10 years  in 2011.
