Police are appealing for witnesses after a man attempted to snatch a woman’s handbag in Crieff.

The 30 year old woman was in King Street at around 3pm on Wednesday 16 July when a man who is described as aged 20-25 years of age, with drawn-in facial features and large ears attempted to steal the bag. He was unsuccessful.

At the time of the incident the man was wearing a light-coloured bomber style jacket.

Anyone with any information that may be useful should contact Police Scotland, Tayside Division on 101, or any police officer. Alternatively information can be passed anonymously via the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
