Sainsbury’s has been forced to make a comment about a staff poster that was put up in a shop window.
The sign read: “Fifty pence challenge – Let’s encourage every customer to spend an additional 50p during each shopping trip between now and the year-end.”
A customer spotted the poster then published a tweet to the verified account of Sainsbury’s. Staff member called Ross was begging the user to alert him which store that had mistakenly put up the poster. –
@mynameischrisd Yeah, I don't think so either. Which store was this? I'll give them a call. Ross.

A spokesperson from Sainsbury’s said: “We often use posters to make store targets fun and achievable for our colleagues. They are intended for colleague areas in the store, but this one was mistakenly put on public display.”
