Saturday 4th October sees a return to home ground for the Fair City Singers, with a concert in St Matthew’s Church on Tay Street.
Following their successful London tour, which included a performance in St Pauls Cathedral, the choir now has their sights set on Paris in 2015, where they hope to perform in Notre Dame and La Madeleine, whilst taking in the sights and culture of the French capital.
Recent concerts have taken them from Stonehaven to Glasgow and everywhere in between and included a performance at Glasgow Central Station as part of the lead up to the Commonwealth Games. More recently, they performed at Junior Ryder Cup prizegiving at Blairgowrie Golf Club and in December, they’ll be at Scone Palace for their Christmas Carol Concert (tickets go on sale in October from the Scone Palace website – www.scone-palace.co.uk/whats-on/christmas-carol-concert).
This Saturday will see them back indoors in the lovely St Matthew’s church, where they’ll be showcasing their wonderful talent under the direction of Marjory Watson. With a wide repertoire ranging from West End and Disney to Scottish and Spirituals, there really is something for everyone and this promises to be a night not to be missed.
Tickets are £8 for adults, £5 for children, including refreshments and are available at the door on the night. The event starts at 7.30pm.
