A leading land and estate agent is sponsoring a unique Perth concert which will showcase some of the district’s finest young performing artists, with the ultimate aim of raising local awareness of Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance.

Perthshire based Bell Ingram is backing St John’s Perth and Kinross Youth Festival Concert which takes place this Friday (26th February). Located at the prestigious Perth Concert Hall, the spectacle is the first event of its type to be staged at the venue and will bring together over 200 young musicians and dancers from a variety of local schools and organisations.

The Youth Festival programme will appeal to all ages and include soloists, choirs, bands, an orchestra and dance, giving the youngsters a platform to demonstrate their diverse talents to a wide audience.

The sponsorship comes as part of Bell Ingram’s ongoing support of Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance, which will be the principal beneficiary of the funds raised by the Youth Festival Concert.

Victoria McCusker, Marketing Manager at Bell Ingram, said: “We are very pleased to be able to support the concert as we share a common goal: raising funds to support the operation of Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance.

“It’s set to be an engaging evening and it’s fantastic to see so many young people keen to get involved and share their musical abilities with the local community and perhaps even further afield.

“The charity is very close to our hearts at Bell Ingram, so we would encourage anyone interested to come along for a fun and entertaining evening, which will in turn help and support a fantastic cause.”

The St John’s Perth and Kinross Youth Festival Concert will start at 7.30pm on Friday 26th February at Perth Concert Hall. The event will be hosted by local journalist Maureen Young and the “Voice of the Tattoo” Alasdair Hutton.

Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance is one of three charities proactively championed by Bell Ingram. Based at Perth airport, the charity flies to time-critical emergencies across Scotland and relies 100% on donations from its supporters to ensure it is there when needed.

Established 116 years ago, Bell Ingram has 130 professional staff across 11 UK offices, including chartered surveyors, estate and forestry managers, architects, planners, building surveyors, tourism and green energy specialists.

Perthshire law firm Macnabs awarded for Will Aid effort

Macnabs, a leading law firm in Perthshire has raised more than £10,000 for charity this year after taking part in a will-writing campaign where lawyers generously give up their time for free to write Wills for local people in exchange for a donation. Macnabs has taken part in the annual Will Aid scheme for the sixth time and raised an impressive £10,795 this year in the month-long fundraiser, making them the highest fundraising firm in Perthshire and second-highest in Scotland. This is the 6th year Macnabs has taken part, raising a fantastic £33,079 to date. Partner Althea Kennedy comments: “At Macnabs we know that Will Aid helps such worthwhile causes and for us to be part of that and to give something back has been wonderful. Over the past few years we’ve raised more and more and have seen so many of our clients benefiting from the campaign. It is so important that people make a Will – without one the law decides how your estate is passed on, and this might not be in line with your wishes. “We have also signed up for the 2017 campaign and appointments are filling up fast, so if you would like to make your Will this November, please do get in touch. It is very easy to make a Will – and it will save your family unnecessary distress at an already difficult time.” Andrea Hay, Partner and Head of the Private Client team, adds: “Even if you already have a Will, it is important to update it every 3-5 years, especially if your circumstances have changed. If you now have children or grandchildren, if you are recently divorced or separated, or have a Partner but are not legally married, or if perhaps a beneficiary named in your Will has deceased, then make sure your Will reflects what you want to happen when you die.”
