This Sunday, April 1st, The Twa Tams will host a day of live music and entertainment from local artists for their Easter Sunday bash.
The Twa Tams, renowned for being a live music venue, will see 5 separate sets of music from 4pm onwards to celebrate Easter weekend – I hope you’ve got Monday off!
Kasbah Vs. Beat Surrender will hold the day spot playing from 4 until 7pm. They’ve said they will be playing a mix of Ska, Soul and Uptown Indie Punk. They have been dropping teasers on their Facebook page so head over and check them out to find out what’s in store! From 7 – 8pm Perth based The Irritable Owls will be on – providing you with tunes to have a boogie to.
After all that dancing and singing it’s not going to get any quieter. From 9pm onwards (enough time to sit in the beer garden and have a cola, cuppa or a pint) you’ll be able to see Longstay, The Sandemans and The Revivals finish off Easter Sunday with a bang. The Revivals will headline the night with support from both local Perth bands for what is set to be a very entertaining (and maybe sweaty?) evening.
The Sandemans have had a great run having just played Audio in Glasgow and are now getting ready to play with The Frontiers at 02 ABC Glasgow on May 11th. I caught up with them recently and you can check out the interview here.
Country rock Longstay have an extremely busy weekend lined up as they are playing in Dunkeld on Saturday at Perth Arms Hotel at 9pm. Head out to see them if you have no Saturday plans yet and get yourself warmed up for Sunday.
Rock ‘n’ Roll Perth band The Revivals played last Friday at The Green Room as well as March Into Pitlochry on Saturday night. They have a few gigs lined up over the next few months; playing Montrose in April and Inverness in July. Do not miss these guys on Sunday night as they will not disappoint. I got the privilege of seeing them last May at The Gig Room so take my word for it!
The Twa Tams host live music every weekend sourcing bands from all over Scotland and in Perth. They are also very good at hosting a quiz with a Harry Potter and Quentin Tarantino quiz lined up for April.
As excited as we all are for Sunday The Twa Tams can only hold a certain amount of people so make sure to get down early to avoid disappointment at the door. This is a completely free event all you need to do is bring your dancing shoes!
We will be down there on Sunday – follow our Instagram for updates!
