Gender Equality Perth (GEP), in partnership with PKAVS, Menopause Café, RASAC P&K, Perthshire Women’s Aid and Perthshire Businesswomen’s Network, present a peer mentoring event for local women.
The evening will see attendees randomly paired and given the opportunity to speak to three different people for twenty minutes each, the organisation said.
Anyone identifying as a woman or non-binary is encouraged to attend – which you can do via genderequalityperth.com
Rebecca McClune of GEP said: “This event has grown out of the popularity of the mentoring event at the Women of the World (Perth) Festivals back in 2017 and 2018. The importance of having a safe space to talk, and different people to bounce ideas off or provide different perspectives, has become clearer than ever in the aftermath of Covid and the change in circumstance it brought for many. We are excited to bring this opportunity back to the women of Perth.”
Moira MacLeod, a volunteer with the Menopause Café charity, said “Menopause Cafe are delighted to be associated with the Peer Mentoring event in November 2022, brought to you by Gender Equality Perth.
With many services available to women in Perthshire it is the perfect platform to bring several stakeholders together which offers shared experiences and a chance to bring conversations together in a safe environment.”
Debbie Hutchison of Perthshire Businesswomen’s Network said “We’re delighted to be part of this event creating powerful spaces for women to learn and support each other”.
Local charity Gender Equality Perth was founded in 2020 in order to advance and promote gender equality in Perth and Kinross.
