Police Scotland have confirmed two men have been arrested and charged in connection with drugs and weapons offences in Perth.
Around 4pm on Friday, 26 April, 2024, officers responded to a report of an assault of a 25-year-old man in South Methven Street, Perth.
The 25-year-old man was taken to hospital.
As part of ongoing enquiries, three properties were searched in Perth. Officers seized Class A and Class B drugs. Offensive weapons were also seized.
Two men, aged 20 and 21, were arrested in connection with assault, drugs offences and possession of offensive weapons. They are due to appear at Perth Sheriff Court on Monday, 29 April, 2024.
A 41-year-old man and a 20-year-old woman are subject of reports to the Procurator Fiscal in connection with drugs offences.
Inspector Kris McCall, of Perth Police Station, said, “These arrests demonstrate our determination to tackle violence and drug-dealing in our communities. This remains a high priority for local officers and with the help and support of the public we will continue to target anyone involved in criminal activity.”
