John Swinney comments on school closure plans

Perthshire North MSP, John Swinney, has spoken out against the proposed closure of Balhousie Primary School, in Perth.

Perthshire North MSP, John Swinney, has spoken out against the proposed closure of Balhousie Primary School, in Perth.

In a statement, MSP John Swinney said: “I am deeply concerned by the proposal to close Balhousie Primary School from Perth and Kinross Council. The School is much valued by the local community, by pupils and by parents. I will be engaging closely with the school community about this proposal as it is considered by the Council.”

Balhouise Primary School and 9 other schools are under review and could be facing closure.
