A man has been jailed at Perth Sheriff court for sexually assaulting a woman.
Martin McGinlay who was released from Perth prison on licence caused distress at homeless unit Greyfriars house by shouting, damaging and threatening staff. However he also entered a females bedroom uninvited and sexually assaulted a woman.
Sheriff Way said: “This is a very serious offence. You have shown no remorse and no understanding of what the woman went through.
“Nothing other than a custodial sentence will do. I also note you were out on licence, only days out and you were in a hostel when this occurred.”
The sentence included a five-month unexpired portion of his previous jail sentence.
