The New Madrid’s are band mainly originating from Perth but by their first song you would be forgiven for thinking they are from the Deep South delta that country tinged rock and roll first came from.
As a 5 piece they hold the big stage perfectly bringing a warm edge to what is a cold day. The lead guitarist swaps from searing lead guitar licks to lap steel melodies with ease giving the band an authentic country sound only to be be changed by the front mans immense voice that echoes of a Jim Morrison in his peak.
An excellent gig portraying a band that is constantly playing to a growing audience. With an album just released named ‘Through the Heart of Town’ aptly named considering Saturdays 23/11/2014 event as the sound travelled through the streets to the please the city’s many ears.
