About 7.30pm on Sunday 13 April 2014, Police at Perth received a call regarding the sighting of a red flare north of Perth.
The flare was spotted by a witness at Perth Leisure pool and also by persons near to Perth Grammar. A local search was carried out in the area which the flare may have been seen, however nothing was found.
There were no subsequent sightings reported and police are appealing for anyone who may have seen the flare to call in on the non emergency 101 number.
