Police are making enquiries into the theft of heavy duty batteries taken from temporary traffic lights in the Perthshire area, that happened on Monday evening into Tuesday morning (Monday April 7)

Police are making enquiries into the theft of heavy duty batteries taken from temporary traffic lights in the Perthshire area, that happened on Monday evening into Tuesday morning (Monday April 7 – Tuesday April 8).

Thieves made off with batteries situated on the A926 Blairgowrie to Alyth Road, near Polcalk Farm Cottage between 5pm on Monday (April 7 and 5am on Tuesday (April 8).

On the A923 Coupar Angus to Dundee Road at Kettins/Balbeggie Crossroads batteries were stolen between 9.30pm on Monday (April 7) and quarter past midnight on Tuesday (April 8).

If anyone saw any suspicious activity or vehicles in the area at these times, please contact Police Scotland on 101. Alternatively information can be passed via the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
