A local Perthshire band has launched a new single called Spotlight, with backing vocals from musicians across Perth.

Spotlight was organised by members of Future Firsthand, the track was written after the tragic loss of Scott Hutchison from Frightened Rabbit, a Scottish indie rock band.

The song talks about the fragility of life; how things may go wrong and something as important as love may be hard to find however emphasises that it’s so important to talk. It’s vital to try to understand that you’re not alone, a member of Future Firsthand said.

‘Spotlight’ features the backing vocals of around a dozen Perth musicians, all coming together in aid of a great cause. Andys Man Club is run exclusively by unpaid volunteers each day from central Halifax in West Yorkshire. The group are at work to tackle the male suicide epidemic head-on.
