The Glenturret Distillery, famed for its Highland single malt whisky and historic distillery tours, has partnered with Perth and Kinross Countryside Trust (PKCT) to promote conservation, outdoor access, volunteering, and education via generous donations with every distillery tour ticket.
The centuries-old distillery lies in the heart of Perthshire on the Highland boundary fault line beside the popular Knock of Crieff. Its secluded location by the Turret Burn plays host to scores of visitors every year, and the doorstep woodland paths are home to a striking diversity of tree and bird life. In a partnership inspirited by the county’s local natural heritage, The Glenturret has joined with PKCT to enhance and conserve local paths, signage, river headwaters and woodland throughout Perth and Kinross.
With Highland scenery and Highland whisky being the allure for many visitors to the area, the fundraising partnership spells exciting news for nature investment and outdoor access. The charitable donation agreement will see PKCT raise funds from The Glenturret Distillery’s famous distillery tour, with 50p of each ticket going to charity, including options to give more.
The Perthshire-based distillery’s commitments do not end there, however. In partnership with PKCT and their years of path building and improving interpretative signage, The Glenturret are also committed to expanding countryside access and building upon the expansive Crieff Path Network.
The partnership comes as local hotels and country estates sign up to support Perthshire Big Tree Country, PKCT’s championing woodland conservation initiative, and partner with us to expand outdoor volunteering and education opportunities. Similarly, the support from The Glenturret seeks to inspire staff and guests alike to donate their time to volunteering outdoors, such as with nature walks, and also support future PKCT educational work.
