A pedestrian was hit by a car on Crieff Road in Perth on Saturday and was taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee.
Injuries remain unknown, however, Police say the road was closed to carry out an investigation and was reopened later at 8.30 pm last night.
Members of the public were seen providing first aid until the emergency services arrived. St Johnstone and Livingston supporters were seen shielding an elderly man to protect his privacy.
The 74-year-old man was taken to Ninewells Hospital in Dundee by ambulance.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were called around 5pm on Saturday, 2 April, to a report of a crash on Crieff Road, Perth, involving a car and a pedestrian.
“The pedestrian, a man, was taken to Ninewells Hospital by the Scottish Ambulance Service.
“The road was closed while crash investigation work was carried out and re-opened around 8.30pm.”
A 21-year-old man, the driver of the car, will be reported to the Procurator Fiscal in connection with a road traffic offence, police said.
