Perth teen fined over theft from pensioner inside care home

An 18-year-old woman has been fined by Perth Sheriff court after stealing money from a pensioner inside a care home.

An 18-year-old woman has been fined by Perth Sheriff court after stealing money from a pensioner inside a care home.

Gail Scott, 18, from Scott Street in Perth was fined £600 after she stole money from a pensioner’s wallet while at work inside a care home as a care assistant.

Gail was asked what she did with the money and her reply was “I had put the money on gas”  Ms Scott admittedly she stole £20 from Viewlands House care home in Perth on February 17th. The man noticed money had went missing the following day.

Sheriff Lindsay Foulis ordered the £20 to be paid back and a file was submitted to the PVG (Protecting Vulnerable Groups)
