Argyll arcade robbery: witnesses catch the moment on camera


Video footage has emerged today after Argyll was robbed in broad daylight.

The footage below is unconfirmed, Police Scotland and the Scottish Ambulance Service are on scene.

Smoke is automatically fumed throughout the building once an alarm is set off according to security experts. It’s unknown whether the armed thugs had smoke bombs.


Two men were seen running up Buchanan Street. Eyewitnesses told Perth Gazette “A security guard was knocked down to the ground it all happened so fast.”

An eyewitness called Ann said: “Lovely lunch. Got screamed at off four balaclavas men at argyll arcade they would shoot me if I didn’t move” Liam Dargie, from Perth, caught the moment when the men were seen running from the scene.

It’s believed to be an unsuccessful robbery as men tried to smash Mappin and Webb jewelers windows to gain entry.
